Back to everyday life. And yet a little further.

The first week after Vietnam - between to-do lists and small islands of serenity.
The first week of work is almost over.
The calendar was full, the mind was quickly back in mode: get things done, react, function
And yet - something was different.
Perhaps because I wanted it to be different.
I found myself taking a deep breath more often.
Not to rush immediately.
To ask myself: What would Vietnam do now?
Probably sit down, have an iced coffee and see what happens.
It was stressful, yes.
But it was also a good week.
Because I took everything with me that didn't fit in my suitcase:
The serenity in chaos.
The kindness in small things.
The knowledge that everything somehow finds its way - even if things don't go according to plan.
Everyday life remains as it is.
But I can decide how I go through it.
Vietnam is far away - but the feeling doesn't have to be far away.
