Invisible milestones

There are great journeys, long distances, and unforgettable adventures. But sometimes it's not the peaks, beaches, or distant cities that leave the strongest impressions. It's the small, invisible milestones that creep into my life—quiet, inconspicuous, and yet so significant.
A song on the radio that suddenly transports me back to a moment with Leon. A certain scent that reminds me of a trip we took together. Or the warm light of a sunset that makes me pause—almost as if it were whispering to me, “I'm still here.”
On my travels, I have often experienced how powerful such moments can be. On the beach in Thailand, it wasn't the sea itself, but that one breath amid the sound of the waves that gave me peace. In Vietnam, it was the green of the landscape that suddenly made me feel completely calm amid the chaos of the world.
These invisible milestones are not planned. They appear when they want to, and they carry me through the days that sometimes seem difficult and endless. They remind me that despite everything, I keep going—step by step, moment by moment.
And perhaps that is precisely the consolation:
Even if the pain remains, these small signs give me the strength to carry on. Not loud, not visible to others, but deeply felt within me.
