Last lights, quiet farewell

Vietnam - a country that stays, even when you leave.
The last evening.
The suitcases are packed, but the heart is far from it.
A farewell to a country that was more than just a travel destination.
A country that touched you. Grounded.
Opened up.
A country that cannot be explained - only experienced.
Vietnam doesn't just welcome guests - it takes you in.
With open arms. With a genuine smile. With encounters that are so honest that they resonate.
With a way of working together that you wish you could take with you - across borders.
Here, people look, respect and share.
Not out of duty, but out of attitude. A silent “we” that resonates everywhere - in street kitchens, on scooters, in glances.
An everyday life that quietly shows:
Together is not theory, but practice.
Three weeks on the road, and yet it feels like you've only just arrived.
What remains are moments of heart-warming encounters, the smiles of strangers, the helpfulness without questions, the quiet togetherness on crowded streets.
A country that doesn't make a loud impression - and yet still has a lasting effect
And flags everywhere.
They have been fluttering on every corner for days.
Red with the golden star - proud, strongly present.
Reunification Day
What a day to set out.
A day on which the country celebrates itself - and on which we quietly joined in the celebrations.
Not with speeches, but with looks.
Not with parades, but with open amazement.
There could hardly be a better symbol for this journey:
A country that has come together - and shown us what it means to be truly connected.
In Vietnam, the flag doesn't just fly to celebrate.
It flies for cohesion, for history, for a “we”
And now... we're going back.
Back to another world.
But not quite the same as before. Because something remains.
In the heart, in the gaze. In the tone, as you can perhaps say “we” yourself in future.
Some countries you visit.
Others you take with you - in your thoughts, in your heart
